Last month, community outreach manager April attended the 9th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day Candlelight Vigil & Resource Fair, "A Night To Remember, A Time To Act." The event was hosted by Hope Soldiers and Snohomish County Government.

Other community partners in attendance included: Courage to Change Virtual NA Meetings, South County Fire, Snohomish County Health Department, Snohomish County Recovery Coalition, Sound Pathways, and more.

Early last year, Amy hit rock bottom in life when she finally realized that she wasn't just dependent on her opioid medication — she was addicted to it.

"When I finally worked up the courage to get help, I contacted Ideal Option," she says. "Very quickly, I was able to video chat with a nice medical assistant and then my main provider."

Amy shares that her provider was kind, caring, and non-judgmental. She prescribed Amy Suboxone the same day and was very thorough during their online visit, explaining in great detail everything she needed to know about the medication.

"This medication has been a literal lifesaver and is helping me immensely to get my life back on track," Amy says.

Last week, peer outreach specialist Lacey attended a summit hosted by the Tacoma-Pierce County Opioid Task Force (OTF), a partnership between Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, Pierce County, the City of Tacoma Government, and Elevate Health.

Agenda highlights included:
✔️An anti-stigma panel discussion.
✔️Task force committee reports.
✔️Facilitated discussions to identify concrete action steps for OTF to take in the next year.
