Heartview Bismarck offers 1 of 4 Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP) in North Dakota. In 2021, Heartview's OTP had 150 patients. In the last five years, this has skyrocketed to 300 patients. With 100 patients entering the clinic every day, the small OTP clinic is at capacity.

We are incredibly grateful to these local businesses for their support. Because of their generosity, construction is underway to expand the OTP waiting room and add two private nurse dosing windows. This project would not be possible without these community partners.

Now we need your help to finish the job. Giving Hearts Day donations, now through Feb. 12, will help us complete the final phase of the project. The first two phases are funded. With continued community support, we can cross the finish line together.

A big thank you to Mor-Gran-Sou Electric Cooperative, Inc., Basin Electric Power Cooperative and their members for helping energize the expansion of Heartview’s Opioid Treatment Program.

After six months in treatment, 62 percent of OTP patients are employed, up from 16 percent at admission. Rates of overdose, injection drug use, and alcohol or drug related emergency room visits drop to less than 5 percent. The Opioid Treatment Program works, and because of your investment, we can continue powering forward to expand access to care.
