As we continue celebrating Nurses Week, we’re excited to spotlight yet one more (last but definitely not least) of our incredible nurses! 💙
Originally from Glendive, Montana, she began her healthcare journey as a CNA while earning her Associate of Science degree. In 2022, she moved to Mandan, North Dakota, to continue her education at the University of Mary, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
After relocating to Mandan, she continued working as a CNA before transitioning into a CMA role while in nursing school. During her final year of school, she welcomed her son into the world on her dad’s birthday — weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 22 inches long! After graduation, she began her nursing career in home health before joining the team at Touchmark.
Her inspiration to become a nurse came from a deeply personal experience. In 2017, her father suffered a traumatic brain injury due to a workplace accident. During his stay in the ICU, his nurse showed incredible compassion, support, and comfort to both him and their family.
Through that experience, she realized she wanted to be that same source of care, reassurance, and strength for others during life’s most difficult moments.
Outside of work, she has always loved animals and grew up bringing plenty of them home — including a goat, pig, chickens, and even a 4-H steer! What started as convincing her dad to let her get one goat eventually turned into a family love for them. Today, her dad has three goats…plus three baby goats!
On her days off, she enjoys resetting her home, spending time at coffee shops with friends and family, and making memories with her toddler as he explores and learns about the world around him.
Her advice for aspiring nurses:
“Just remember — when you’re a nurse, you’re never alone. We continually support one another, sharing knowledge, experience, and guidance as we grow together in our practice.”
Thank you for the compassion, kindness, and dedication you bring to our residents, families, and team each day! ✨
