Individual Wellbeing & Relationship Therapy 9 yrs through adults, Parent Consultation, Registered Play Therapist, Clinical EFT Practitioner "tapping" I have been a licensed therapist for the past 20 years, working with three different non-profit agencies and then beginning my own private practice. This included work as a parent, teacher and community educator. As I am a Relationship Therapist, I h
ave found that my Enrich - Prepare Certification, Couples Communication Certification, Gottman Institute Training and Emotianonal Focused Couples Therapy - all helpful in working with couples. I am also trained to do Child Parent Relationship Therapy through the University of North Texas. My masters degree is in Family Relations & Child Development from OSU and my post graduate work for licensure was done in Human Relations at OU. I am an individual well being and relationship therapist. I enjoy the mix of working with people on their individual personal issues and then on the other end of the spectrum - helping people with their relationships issues, including conflict, communication, connection and intimacy, etc. I work with children, teens and adults. I provide individual, couple and family therapy utilizing a variety of therapy modalities, customizing treatment. I consider myself to be an integrated therapist drawing from the following kinds of therapy: Solution Focus, Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Family Systems, Psychodynamic, Mind / Body Approaches, Play & Art Therapy and Emotional Focused Couple Therapy. And most recently, have trained to become a Clinical EFT Certified Practitioner. I also do workshops and presentations for parent and teacher groups, churches, community groups, etc. In addition, I do supervision for Licensed Professional Counselors candidates and Registered Play Therapy candidates. Plus, I am available for school observation and feedback reports. I love my work I do as a therapist. I very much enjoy meeting and helping my clients find concrete solutions to their problems. I feel creating a peaceful, warm, confidential environment is very important. I choose to be a solo practitioner to give my clients an extra level of confidentiality. This allows clients to have their own private waiting room. I put a bit of extra time in between my clients so that most times they do not have any contact with each other. It also allows me to be at my best for my clients when I do not do back to back clients. I can help with the following issues:
Relationship Issues for Couples, Parents & Children, Families, Peers and Work
Relationships
Anxiety & Stress
Depression
Grief
Transition / Adjustment
Abuse & Trauma Recovery
School Behavior Issues
Self Esteem and Personal Growth
Parent Consultation
