*** REOPENED: L-303 westbound has reopened between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway. All fire related restrictions and closure have been lifted. ***

*** REOPENED: SR 74 eastbound has reopened at Lake Pleasant Parkway. L-303 westbound is still closed between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Pkwy. ***

*** REOPENED: I-17 has reopened in both directions in north Phoenix. SR 74 eastbound remains closed at Lake Pleasant Parkway. L-303 westbound also remains closed between I-17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway. ***

*** REOPENED: I-17 has reopened in both directions between Loop 101 and SR 74. Loop 303 remains closed west of I-17.***

NOW: Heavy smoke from brush fire closes I-17 in north Phoenix

PHOENIX – Interstate 17 is closed in both directions in north Phoenix due to heavy smoke drifting from a nearby brush fire, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Southbound I-17 is closed at State Route 74. Northbound I-17 will be closed at Loop 101.

There is no estimated reopening time. Motorists should delay travel or take an alternate route.
