Finding Grace Counseling is sponsoring a team to support su***de prevention and intervention in Washington. This is an issue that is important to me both professionally and personally. With current affairs in the country and state, su***de attempts and completions are increasing and organizations that provide supports and services are more important than ever. Please consider joining my team You can walk, run, bike, skateboard, scooter, etc. on your own, or we can figure our some kind of socially distanced activity. ( i will update with a socially distanced plan for those who wish to walk togetherish.) or making a small donation to support the efforts of the local chapter of the Foundation for Su***de Prevention.

I'm walking and raising funds for American Foundation for Su***de Prevention! Please support me and/or walk with me by clicking the link below. Thank you!

Distress in youth in our community is certainly rising. I have noticed a marked increase among those in the 14-20 year old bracket, but many younger children are certainly not immune. Please check on your kiddos regularly. Don't let "Okay" be enough of an answer. There is no shame in not being okay and we, as a community, need to allow ourselves and our kids to normalize mental health needs as much as we do physical health needs. Our brain is an organ and sometimes it needs some help just like any other part of the body that may be misfiring.
Youth in crisis can call or text Teen link at 1-866-TEENLINK (833-6546) Text is limited to certain hours.
We need to normalize help-seeking behaviors for mental health and keep our ourselves and kiddos safe and able to meet the challenges of the times.
Adults experiencing a mental health crisis can call 866-427-4747 or 911.
