Stan update; 🐓✨
Stan saw a different vet yesterday, and I feel much more confident in his care. She believes he likely got his spur caught on something and pulled/tore a tendon. She trimmed his spurs, and incredibly, the spur on his other foot fell off completely — something she said she’s never seen in her 40 years of practice. He’s now on additional medication to help with pain and healing.
He’s been able to enjoy some time outside during the day with the warmer weather, which lifts his spirits, but he’s still very sore and not putting weight on his foot. He comes into the garage at night so we can keep him safe and comfortable.
We could really use your continued healing thoughts and prayers for our sweet Stan. He’s such a strong boy, and we’re hoping each day brings a little more progress. 💛
