Lavender, get in my brain! 💜 fun fact: our olfactory sense is our only sensory intake that doesn’t have a nervous system filtering process before hitting our limbic system (the emotional/memory/behavioral center of our brain). This is why we have such strong memories (or ptsd) with certain smells, and it’s what makes aromatherapy such a powerful healer. I had a wonderful week up north diving deeper into CranioSacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, lead by Frank Stahlman. I can’t wait to share these gentle techniques in my practice and watch this long awaited frond of my bodywork path unfurl.

If you haven’t experienced cranial-sacral work, it is perhaps the most delightful and delicate form of nervous system nourishment/discovery/surrender/balancing I have encountered... It taps us into a natural state of grounded, fluid being where we remember our innate wholeness 🌊

And as a nerd, of course I love the myriad clinical applications.

I was blessed many years past to be introduced to this work by some phenomenal practitioners in California, and the time is now for these long ago planted seeds to be watered and tended and given room to grow.
