Wellspring is back seeing clinic normal hours now! And with a little help from some great friends we will continue assisting this community any way we can.

If you or someone you know is in need of any over the counter medications or supplies just swing by and take what you need…while donations last.

This will be a long road but I’m beyond grateful to walk it with each of you!!

In the early hours of the storm I caught this photo of my wife taking in what would become so much more. Before the trees fell and waters rushed through our community. So much devastation. So much heartache. We continue to pray, and work, and love one another.

What I’ve seen through this tragedy is remarkable though. Stronger families, neighbors and communities. It’s day 13 without power and that is difficult. I encourage everyone to continue moving forward in hope. Small steps are still steps. Laugh where you can and cry when you need to. Be there for each other and we’ll come through this together, stronger.

Like last week, Wellspring continues to be open each morning 9-12 for anyone who needs seen and we’ll continue to be here serving this community as long as you’ll have us. Prayers for all. Be safe out there.

Due to the arrival of Hurricane Helene, our office will be closing for in-person care starting at noon today (Thursday, September 26) to ensure the safety of our staff and patients. We will reopen with normal hours on Monday, September 30th.

However, we will remain available for telemedicine consultations as long as power and internet access remain stable. If you have any medical concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out via our telemedicine platform.

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated on any changes to our availability.

Meal planning is associated with consuming a healthier diet, a lower rate of obesity, and saving more of your hard-earned money, but we get it — it can feel overwhelming figuring out where and how to start!

Our dietitian is sharing her top 3 tips to get started with a simple meal planning routine ⬇️

1️⃣ Start SMALL: with one meal or batch prepping a protein.

2️⃣ Use SIMPLE ingredients: don’t choose recipes with long ingredients lists

3️⃣ SCHEDULE it in: just like you would schedule your appointment to come see us in clinic! When it’s actually on your schedule or calendar you are more likely to consistently make time for it

And a friendly reminder, there’s no one “right” way to meal plan. Do it in a way that fits your routine and preferences!

Grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside my and family in Nicaragua 🇳🇮 this past week. Amigos has a goal to supply clean water to the region of Chinandega and it’s been my privilege to play a small part in that the last two years.
