Thankful to reopen our doors to you. The Center Within ... we're back! We miss those that haven't rejoined us... AND we're thankful to Ed Cortright for spearing this immense project so that we can continue to live, work, and share at The Center. Gratitude for our daughter Emily who worked for 6 weeks in grueling, nasty conditions beside us... without complaint and all the while being a tireless listener. My family, friends, and strangers who sent money, socks, and food. I was carried by EACH of you in Divine love and support. ALL the crews that showed up in their love, with their skills, their heavy equipment... words fail to express the depth of appreciation. The prayers.... thank you. You ALL have changed me and others forever, and preserved a renewed opportunity for us all to serve you.

Good Morning! In the wake of this storm, The Center Within continues to work towards opening our doors to our clients sometime in November or December and most importantly, to support our tenant in moving back to her home November the 1st. This community is resilient and resourceful... and with the guiding force of Emily's Dad, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. THANK YOU for all who have supported us with $$ for our rebuilding process, prayers, and support. May it continue... as this is a long distance marathon, and our community depends on the services that we provide that aren't offered any other place in NC. I will have Emily update pictures sometime today/tomorrow of where we've been, and where we are. May this find you in collaboration with your community, with an open heart.

This Train-the-Trainer event will help you:
·Teach safer cell phone use to friends, family, and others (like shoppers at local farmers’ markets or attendees of health fairs and health conferences)
·Talk to elected officials to get results. Know what to ask to protect our communities!
·And get comfy practicing what we preach!
We ask for a $10.00 donation at the door to cover the cost of preparing the training and materials. This is a Phone-free gathering! Please plan to leave your cell phone in your car.
