Please join us for a World EHS Day Zoom Forum on Thursday, June 16, 8 pm EST.
I'd be honored if you wanted to speak, too!
We are doing short snapshots of EHS- Electromagnetic Sensitivity- one or two minute statements from those who suffer symptoms and from experts and allies who are advocates and upstanders on behalf of those in pain.
We want to hear from those with this condition and from those experts and advocates working tirelessly to prevent any more good folks from being diagnosed with this condition.
The focus for the talk is on amplifying and honoring the voices of those in the EHS community; their bravery for speaking out and the courage of the scientists, legislators, lawyers, doctors, journalists and those who speak on our behalf. What do you want the world to know about EHS?
We see you. We see all of you.
Now, it's time to be seen as people who deserve equity and inclusion in our society, and who want to be safe at home, school or work simply without experiencing symptoms or sickness.
We want people to know this is real and that they are not alone. We are stronger when we stand together as a united community calling for support, policy change and protections because we are done with our children and our loved ones and ourselves being sick, dying, disbelieved and displaced.
Our illness is invisible. We are not.
On Thursday we celebrate this strong, resilient, persistent community whose disability makes it even harder to advocate- yet we keep showing up, calling for each and every person at every level of government to make responsible, proactive, precautionary decisions to protect us.
What moves this movement forward is when we keep showing up together, for each other.
Please let Cece or I know if you want to speak. If joining, please register early at the link below to attend. If we need more than 100 spots we can take the opportunity to upgrade now.
Please share this event with disability and inclusion groups, your doctors, legislators and municipal leaders- even your family members and anyone else who could benefit from learning about this condition.
Everyone is welcome. We are going to try to keep the call to an hour- so even if you can only pop on for even two minutes to say your part about EHS, please let us know. We want to hear your voice!
World EHS Day!
Please join Massachusetts for Safe Technology & Courtney Gilardi on June 16, 2022, 8 pm EST on Zoom or by phone for a forum to honor World EHS Day: Voices of the Invisible Made Visible.
EHS, or Electromagnetic Sensitivity is an environmentally induced illness from today's wireless technology. Scientists indicate with our growing electro-smog that up to 30% of children and adults (and pets) are experiencing symptoms. This invisible illness often begins with insomnia, headaches, nausea, anxiety, depression, cognitive impairment and more.
Without proper care, understanding and treatment, continued exposure can lead to isolation, social withdrawal, job loss, housing instability, hopelessness, homelessness and su***de. On this global day of recognition for EHS, we listen to the stories of those injured, lift up their voices and list solutions for creating accessibility and justice for those affected.
Join us to celebrate the strength and resilience of the EHS community, to learn about this illness and engage in creating an equitable and inclusive world for all those who suffer.
Executive Director of Massachusetts for Safe Technology, Cecelia Doucette, will provide resources for those with electromagnetic illnesses and their loved ones, health care teams, municipal leaders, schools and legislators.
The French association, Coures' de EHS (Hearts of EHS), founded by Magali Lesure, has promoted World EHS Day for the last five years as a way to support those with Electromagnetic Sensitivity, to create allies for those with this condition, and to recognize those who are missing from society due to EHS. The association's goals are also to inform about the health risks generated by electro-smog and to help create policy change and protections.
