In early December, two teachers from the Eagle Center visited a total of 23 households and provided food assistance. They did not give out the Haven lights at first, because there was a risk that the recipients might exchange them for alcohol. However, one family had been without electricity for many days, and even after several more days they still had no power. In that case, giving them a Haven light became a great blessing.

2025 GREETINGS FROM MONGOLIA CHILDREN

From all of us at CFK, we wanted to send our warmest Christmas and New Year greetings, and to thank you for your prayers and support for deeply meaningful work in North Korea, and now in Mongolia!

We have a gift for you - a precious video sent to us recently by our partners, Jesus Assembly Church, in Erdenet Mongolia! I promise it will warm your heart! Here is the link: http://www.cfk.org/eaglechildren

A few years ago volunteers from the church completely renovated an old Soviet-era building in a very poor mining district in Erdenet to create the Eagle Center - a place where at-risk children in the neighborhood can receive hot meals, help with homework after school, have safe play time, receive character and hygiene training and other enriching activities such as art classes. Jesus Assembly Church, through their NGO, provide loving staff for the facility to teach and care for the children who come. Many children come from very rough homes - single parent or grand-parent led homes, many affected by alcoholism, unemployment, deep poverty and many difficult social issues. The Eagle Center is a precious beacon of hope and opportunity in these children's (and their families') lives. Thank you for your support that is helping to care for these precious children!

Currently the Eagle Center only has room enough to support children ages 6-12. They hope to expand it so there will be room to continue to help the older (now 13-16 year old) children who they have worked with for several years, but who have now "aged out" of the program. For more information on what is needed for expansion, please go to page 3 of our most recent Fall/Winter newsletter: https://www.cfk.org/newsletter . Thank you for caring for these children - some of the least of these.

May the Lord richly bless you and keep you, make his face shine upon you, and give you His peace, now and throughout 2026!

Blessings, and warm wishes from all of us at CFK.

We give thanks because "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."

As we continue to wait... we can still pray. Please continue to pray for the North Korean people and for CFK ... for wisdom and divine appointments as we explore avenues for re-engagement, and
continuing service. We wait, trust and thank Him for opening the right doors.

Update | Please check item description. We will update as they are claimed.

To all of our local friends & neighbors:

Since Hurricane Helene, we have uncovered several lost items on our property (off of East State Street/Old Hwy 70/ on Center Avenue) We would love to see them returned to their rightful owner(s). We suspect many of these items could have come from the Black Mountain Mini Storage and we will be reaching out to them with these photos as well.

If you know to whom these items might belong... please have them reach out to us. (via Facebook or contact information below) Several of these items have initials/inscriptions and we would ask that you provide those details if they belong to you. Please understand that we want to make sure these get to the right owner(s). 😇

Our Story

In 1995, CFK responded to large-scale flooding that impacted millions of lives precipitating a famine that set the stage for the TB epidemic and humanitarian needs that followed. We responded by sending containers of brown rice from Louisiana and by confirming the arrival and delivery of emergency food aid. From that small beginning, our work has expanded significantly.

Currently, our organization provides ongoing support to more than 35 care centers including the National Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory (NRL), 7 provincial tuberculosis (TB) and hepatitis hospitals, and nearly 18 TB and hepatitis rest homes located throughout the geographical region—many of them in remote locations.

We regularly assist our supported TB and hepatitis care centers by providing developmental assistance; confirming the arrival, distribution, and use of goods we send; and assessing current needs. Most of our aid is targeted to respond to the medical needs of patients. Our aid includes: food and medicine; medical equipment and supplies; agricultural support (tractors, greenhouses, seeds, etc.); bedding and blankets; and clean water. We are also involved in the renovation of multiple health care facilities, solar powered water and lighting projects, water well drilling, greenhouse construction, medical staff training, and so forth.

While the need is extensive, we are grateful for the resources and the opportunity to respond. Our overarching mission is to glorify God by ministering to the people of North Korea by bringing hope and healing, all in the name of Jesus Christ.
