At Givens Highland Farms and Givens Estates, resident volunteers lovingly knit prayer shawls that are made available through Life Ministries. These beautiful creations are more than just fabric—they are expressions of compassion, woven with intention and prayer in every knot and stitch.

Whether someone is recovering from illness, grieving a loss, facing health challenges, or simply navigating a difficult season, these shawls offer warmth and a reminder that they are not alone. Many of our most cherished residents contribute their time and talent to this ministry, creating pieces that carry deep meaning and spiritual support.

This week, our residents and team members gathered to honor the anniversary of Tropical Storm Helene — a time to reflect on our strength and the community that carried us through.

The day began with a breakfast buffet, followed by a heartfelt event in the Assembly Room. John DuPree opened and closed with beautiful piano music, and Hunter Preston from Life Ministries led us in a message of faith and unity.

Departments shared how Helene impacted us and how we came together in the days that followed — a true testament to our resilience. We ended the day with our afternoon meal, affectionately called “linner,” just as we did during Helene.

We remember. We honor. We move forward — together. 💙

🍎🍂 Fall has officially arrived at the Health Care Center with our recent apple tasting program! Our residents had a blast sampling a variety of apples, from the tart Granny Smith to the sweet Gala. 🍏🍁

Our residents recently enjoyed a delightful day at the Mountain State Fair—and what a time they had! From petting farm animals and marveling at the rides to tasting a variety of fair foods!

It was a wonderful opportunity to soak up the sights, sounds, and flavors of the season—and we’re so glad to have shared it together.

Rain or shine, the excitement is pouring in! This week marks the beginning of move-ins at our brand new Vista Ridge South apartments—and we couldn’t be more thrilled! 🚚📦

If you’ve driven by lately, you’ve probably seen plenty of moving trucks, stacks of boxes, and lots of smiling faces as our newest residents settle into their beautiful new homes. A little rain can’t dampen our joy—we’re absolutely delighted to welcome everyone to the community!
