We spent several magical days at last week, camping, playing games and making new friends, but the best part of all was that we had some much needed quality time together šŸ’›

I love these gatherings because afterwards I feel so inspired and resourceful- here are just a few things that we were able to experience together

🪨 painting tee shirts with rock pigments
šŸ„„spoon carving
šŸŗopen fire pottery making
šŸæļø animal butchering and smoking (my son)
🪢knot tying
🌿plant distillation- made a pine needle hydrosol

And just all around sweet village vibes

My heart is feeling full and grateful šŸ‚

Lots of morning walks are happening these days

šŸ with the change of season I feel myself coming into the rhythms of homeschooling and I love how rhythm brings discipline to my life

I’m also grateful to have more time in my days, while my children are engaged in various activities in the village, to offer the type of bodywork that I love- which focuses on the female body.

One of my greatest joys is offering breast massage to women who have had reductions & explant surgery or mastectomies.

This work is so therapeutic for supporting scar tissues healing, moving lymph and reducing pain and swelling.

But really, we can all benefit from therapeutic breast massage!

šŸ’ have you ever had breast massage? If so- what did you think?

🌷life has been beautiful as spring peeks her head up here in Appalachia.

We’re in a sweet and steady homeschooling & homesteading rhythm and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything that’s being planted and blooming simultaneously

And we got 3 baby ducks 🐣

How are you enjoying spring?

hi friends- it’s been a while since I’ve been consistent on this platform so i wanted to share an update 🌷

In September 2023 we moved into our beautiful yurt that my talented husband built šŸ›– having our first home created a major cellular shift for our family-

putting roots down even deeper was a catalyst for us to center our children’s education at home and the healing work that i had been offering to women was moved to the back burner as we navigated homeschooling and living off grid in community.

Now that we’ve found our flow I am so ready to share my offerings with women again!

The sessions I offer blend years of studies in Maya abdominal therapy, traditional uterine massage & holistic pelvic care to create a deeply nurturing and restorative session that spans more than just the abdomen, by relaxing tension in the back, hips, gluten & legs before working in the womb space.

In times not so long ago, wise women from across the globe knew the importance and benefits of traditional therapies to support women’s reproductive health and general wellness throughout all of their phases, not just when they’re fertile.

These external, non-invasive techniques work by alleviating organ and tissue congestion and improving the vital flow of blood, hormones, lymph and energy. This assists the bodies natural healing capabilities, restoring harmony and balance.

This modality can offer:
🪷support with balancing hormones
🪷relief from painful menstrual cycles
🪷better digestive health
🪷an increase of fertility
🪷postpartum healing
🪷restored vitality and creativity

🌹 I’m offering a limited amount of sessions on my homesite as well as lining up some guest healing sessions at other awesome locations that I vibe with- but for now you can book with me at Earthaven through the l i n k in b i o šŸ„šŸ¤šŸ“

I’ve sat down to write this post so many times and there just aren’t words to describe the devastation that was caused by Hurricane Helene last week

We are safe, and my family in Burnsville is safe, which I’m so very grateful for because so many people didn’t make it

I am again in awe of our beloved community - we all rallied in different ways, supporting the collective by cutting trees that had fallen, repairing roads and bridges, cooking for the entire community, caring for children, strategizing, meeting, fundraising, etc.

Praying for all of the people who still do not have their basic needs, those who are awaiting news of their loved ones, the families who have lost loved ones and everyone who calls this area home.

It will never be the samešŸ’”

Tami Lynn Kent is interested in teaching Holistic Pelvic Care in the Asheville area again this spring.
There were many women who missed the opportunity last year as it filled up quickly.
If you’re interested, reach out to me, and spread the word- we’re gauging if there are enough women to make it happen!

One of my favorite books
touches upon the history of women in traditional healing roles and when & how those roles changed.

We’ve all heard stories of the witch trails, but how often do we step back and see that those events still have a massive impact on licensing, legislation and how women are cared for in the realms of reproductive health, fertility education, birth & postpartum.

We’re living in a time where women are remembering the seeds of what was lost when so many women were persecuted simply for sharing the wisdom of the earth and their ancestors.

Have you read this book? Would love to hear your thoughts and any similar book recommendations šŸ”®
