My friend posted her sleep stuff and I found this fascinating! Learn something new everyday!
“The other day I posted about my rating system for my sleep oils. I showed you a combo that got 20 winks (highest rating).
This one gets a 15.
Clove - The substance of eugenol inside of the clove has effects such as reducing stress which can encourage sleep, stimulates dreams, and creates a sense of protection.
Nutmeg - supports the production of melatonin - the hormone of SLEEP!! Good sleep = a supported immune system!!
I am a bit of a restless sleeper and move around quite a bit.
This morning? I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in.
Time to make room on my oily sleepy shelf - these two have found a new home.
The good news is, I have a lot of both of them.
Who wants to sleep better?”
The consensus is… some people are surprised to hear if you apply nutmeg over adrenals it can make you sleepy. I think it depends if you actually are in adrenal fatigue or not. If you are… then what your body probably needs is rest which is why the nutmeg probably makes you sleepy. If not… it might be why it gives you energy :)
Otherwise some say diffusing works well too!!
I’d try both and see what works better :)
