WHAT IS REIKI? REIKI is Japanese technique for stress reduction. "REI" means universal and "KI" means energy. A REIKI treatment can be deeply relaxing and one usually feels warmth and comfort, sometimes putting the recipient to sleep. REIKI treats the whole person including the physical body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. It is administered by laying on hands. The practitioner's touch is very light and gentle, the hands remaining in a set position for several moments. The recipient remains fully clothed throughout the treatment. REIKI does NOT replace traditional medicine; however it does add another piece to the treatment process. People have been known to experience relief of pain and other various disorders after receiving REIKI. The treatment is non-invasive and safe and can do no harm. The addition of crystals and Essential Oils to the Reiki Sessions enhances the energy and raises the vibrations of the healing. WHO IS REIKI FOR?
