As the holidays get closer, I’ve been thinking a lot about our senior community.
This season is full of joy for many, but it can also amplify isolation, depression, and loneliness for older adults—especially those who don’t have family nearby or who struggle quietly behind closed doors.

I see firsthand how much a simple act of kindness can mean. A quick visit, a warm meal, a phone call, even a holiday card can completely shift someone’s day.

As we move into the holiday season, I encourage all of us to be mindful and intentional:
• Reach out to an elderly neighbor or friend
• Visit someone who may be alone
• Offer a ride, share a meal, or send a handwritten note
• Support programs that serve seniors in need

The smallest gestures can make the biggest impact.

🎅❤️ It’s Time for Our Annual Senior Santa Campaign! ❤️🎅

Loneliness and isolation among seniors is a real epidemic — and we can all help change that.

Each year, Comfort Home Care launches Senior Santa, a community campaign that brings holiday joy to low-income and homebound seniors across Southeast Idaho. Many of these individuals will go without any gifts, cards, or visits this holiday season — unless we step in.

Wage: $26/36 Hour

What You’ll Do:

Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help residents improve mobility, strength, and function.
Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and exercises under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Monitor and document patient progress accurately in EMR systems.
Educate residents and families on therapy goals, exercises, and home programs to encourage continued success.
Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, resident-centered care.
Participate in discharge planning to support safe transitions and continuity of care.

What We’re Looking For:

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Idaho.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing, rehab, or outpatient setting preferred.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of others.
