At Empower Surgical & Medical Weight Loss, our patients are at the heart of everything we do, and that means continually investing in the best people, training, and technology.

This week, we proudly welcomed Richard M. Peterson, MD, MPH, FACS, FASMBS, DABS-FPMBS, President of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), to our campus.

Dr. Peterson personally proctored Dr. Loggins and our team as they received advanced training on the Titan surgical device, allowing for greater precision, consistency, and confidence throughout the procedure — all designed to support safer outcomes for our patients. Having the current ASMBS President on site is a unique honor and a strong testament to the quality of care, surgical excellence, and commitment to innovation our patients can expect from our bariatric program.

We are grateful for Dr. Peterson’s leadership, mentorship, and continued support, and we’re proud to showcase the outstanding work of our surgeons and care teams every day.
