Free STI & HIV Screening with the New River Health District and the Virginia Department of Health.

The first testing date is September 18th from 9am-3pm on the 2nd floor of the Schiffert Heatlh Center. Testing dates and locations continue throughout the semester. Head to the link in our bio to sign up. 🔗

HIV and Hepatitis C testing provided by The Drop-In Center and hosted at Schiffert Health Center is free and confidential.

Call (540)982-2437 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome as time allows but individuals with appointments receive priority.

This service is provided on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month between 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. from September to April.

✅ College Vaccine Checklist:
– Meningitis (MenACWY + MenB)
– HPV (human papillomavirus)
– Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis)
– MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
– COVID-19
– Flu (yearly)
– Hepatitis A & B
– Varicella (chickenpox)

The college setting inherently increases a student's risk of exposure to the bacteria that causes meningococcal disease. Both individuals with and without symptoms can spread the bacteria from respiratory and throat secretions during close or lengthy contact. ALL students require the vaccine for A, C, W, Y serogroups. We highly recommend the B serogroup vaccine as isolated outbreaks of this type have been recorded at U.S. colleges.
