Acupressure Treatment
Treatment of nasal ailments
When the nasal passage is adversely affected due to the change of season and other causes –allergic rhinitis, acute coryza, common cold, nosebleed, sinusitis, sneezing, heavy headedness, running nose and other disorders may occur.
Incidence of these problems increases during the spring season. They can be treated by applying pressure on the major and subsidiary trigger points as shown in the pictures.
Main trigger points: The trigger points are located in the tips and upper parts of fingers and toes. Apply pressure on these points with your index finger and thumb for two to four seconds each. (Picture 1, 2, 3)
Subsidiary trigger points:
* Apply pressure on the point located at the back of the neck where it is connected with the skull (the point no.1 as shown in the picture no.4) and point numbers 2 to 7 as shown in the picture no. 5. Then apply pressure downwards on the back of the neck at point numbers 1 to 12 as shown in the picture no. 6. Pressure is to be applied for 2-3 seconds three times on each of the points.
* Acute coryza and cold can be cured by applying pressure on the points below each nostril. This centre is very important for nosebleed.
