The Anthony Louis Center specializes in rehabilitation for teenagers who are struggling with substance abuse, including alcohol and other drugs. We believe in providing care exclusively for this group as their needs are different. Being minors, the issues that arise in drug abuse in teens are different from those of adult treatment centers. Teenagers have a different understanding of risk, and, since their brains are still developing, they are uniquely vulnerable to the dangers of substance abuse. Teen drug problems involve a different drug profile than is the case for adults, and teens are likely to get involved with drugs for various reasons, with peer pressure holding far more sway than in the general population.
