🦷 Dentistry is more than teeth. Blood work reveals inflammation, immune response, and systemic conditions that directly impact oral health—because comprehensive care starts with the whole body.

🦷✨The material used in this video is sodium bicarbonate. While it’s not intended for cleaning beneath the gum tissue, it is significantly less abrasive—about ⅓ as abrasive as coarse prophy polish.

Choosing the right polishing agent matters for both patient comfort and tooth preservation. Always match your materials to the indication 💡

Gum health is an important part of oral health and overall health.
Healthy gums help support teeth, protect against bacteria, and reduce inflammation in the mouth.

Bleeding gums are not normal and are often an early sign that gums need more attention.
Daily habits like gentle brushing, flossing, play a key role in keeping gums healthy over time.

Did you know?
Your mouth can often show signs of inflammation before the rest of your body does. Red, swollen, or bleeding gums may reflect how your immune system is responding to stress, nutrition, or chronic inflammation elsewhere. That’s why holistic dentistry looks beyond teeth—we pay attention to patterns, lifestyle, and overall wellness, not just what shows up on an X-ray.

Holiday cavities usually aren’t about one dessert — they’re about constant exposure.

When we snack all day, the mouth stays acidic for longer stretches. Saliva slows down, bacteria that love acid take over, and enamel doesn’t get the chance to rebuild what it loses.

The goal isn’t restriction — it’s recovery.

🦷 Easy ways to protect enamel while still enjoying treats:
• Sip water before and after sweets to get saliva flowing
• Eat desserts with meals or alongside protein and fat
• Give your teeth 20–30 minutes between treats to re-harden
• Pick chocolate more often than sticky candies that cling to teeth
• Hold off on brushing after acidic foods or drinks to avoid damaging softened enamel

Your teeth are resilient when supported properly. Manage pH, support saliva, and keep the oral environment balanced — so you can enjoy the season and protect your smile.
