What a journey it has been over the last 14 years especially over the last year or 2 with my health. Today Laura and I celebrate Blaine Healing Arts Massage Therapy 14th anniversary. So grateful to everyone that has helped to make our business such a success.

Thank you to Laura for everything she has done to keep everything going. I am back to work, it will take me a while to get back up to full speed but I am no longer in pain and can move.

I am slowly contacting everyone about scheduling, but if you would like to schedule please let me know. Laura still has a very full schedule and is not taking new clients right now.

Happy Anniversary!!
Thank you!!
Kari

Just thought I would jump on here and let you know how I am doing. But first I need to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, love, and of course food. I am so very grateful and appreciative of all the Love that has been shown to me and my family. I want to thank Laura, my awesome business partner, for everything that she has done to help keep the business going in my absence. A big thank you to David, Casey, Jeff, Svenna, Resa, Jacob and Amber for all that they have done to help me through the last couple of years. They have all been wonderful to me.

It has been 3 ½ weeks since having total hip replacement on my right hip. My body is responding well to the new hip. I am not in the pain I was in prior to surgery. I do have some pain now but not anywhere like before and mostly it’s from over doing it, which doesn’t take much.

I am slowly gaining strength and stamina. It is amazing how little I had, now I can do a lot more without help, but I do get tired quickly. After a year and a half, I have been compensating so much in my movements that I need to re-learn how to move properly, know that my hip, knee and leg can move, I catch myself too often moving in those compensating movements, then I realize I can move, and my right hip does move. I can walk up and down stairs normally, slowly but normally, which is a big deal. Soon I will be able to ditch my cane for good.

I am hoping that by the time school starts I will be able to start working again. Only time will tell. I will let you know when I am able to start working.

Thank you again for everything!
Kari

We have exciting news! In addition to massage and acupuncture we will have a reflexologist coming to our office!

Michele is a National Board Certified Reflexologist and has been in practice for over 6 years. She is skilled at helping your body into a parasympathetic state, giving your body time to de-stress and relax.

She offers 60-minute and 90-minute reflexology sessions on Thursdays from 2pm-8pm at The Blaine Healing Arts Massage Therapy location in Blaine. See contact information in the comment below to book.

What Does Reflexology Treat?

Reflexology is reported to be effective in reducing tension and stress throughout the body by initiating the relaxation response. It also is effective at improving nerve and blood supply throughout the body by aiding the function of the nervous and circulatory systems.

Reflexology also helps the body to reach homeostasis by promoting balance and a state of harmony between the body, mind and emotions. It is also beneficial for most body issues including those relating to digestion, anxiety, and insomnia.

Reflexology does not treat specific conditions and is not a substitute for medical treatment and care. Reflexologists do not diagnose illness based on the treatment they provide.
