Happy Nonprofit Day!!
In 2018, BAYADA Home Health Care made an incredible leap forward by transitioning from a privately held, for-profit company to a nonprofit organization—and we couldn’t be more proud! Our amazing founder, Mark Baiada, donated the company to a newly formed nonprofit on January 17, 2018, calling it his “last act of love” to ensure our mission of delivering compassionate, high-quality care lives on for generations to come. This bold move helps protect our values, our clients, and our incredible team members by keeping the focus right where it belongs—on people, not profits. Now led by a dedicated board of trustees, BAYADA reinvests every dollar back into care, innovation, and support for our employees. Since 1975, we’ve been providing a wide range of services including nursing, therapy, hospice, assistive care, and yes—habilitation too! We’re all about helping people live safely at home with comfort, independence, and dignity, and we’re thrilled to carry that mission forward as a nonprofit!

In partnership with MUSC's PAWS (Patient Animal Wellness Service) Pet Therapy Program, our MUSC Health Hospice at Home by BAYADA team hosted their very first pet therapy visit with the residents at Kempton of Charleston.

Coco the pup brought joy, laughter, and comfort to everyone she met. ❤️

Supporting the independence of our clients is what we're all about. One of our lovely clients expressed a desire to learn how to cook - her staff delivered!! Check out these scrumptious meals that they have created together. They went through every step of cooking from budgeting, creating a shopping list, selecting the items in the store, preparing the meal, and (most importantly) enjoying it together!! 😋💕Building lasting skills sets our clients up for long-term success.

BAYADA client Jaxon and his brother Liam share a special bond. Recently, Liam visited our Mount Laurel, NJ office to see how we train caregivers to provide inclusive care, all as part of earning his Disability Awareness merit badge as a Boy Scout.

Liam gained firsthand experience and learned creative ways to help make life more accessible for Jaxon, like designing a wheelchair-accessible sprinkler system.

We’re proud of Liam for showing how acts of love and kindness can help create a welcoming and supportive environment for people with disabilities in our communities. ❤️

Before becoming a BAYADA nurse, Meredith held several leadership roles within BAYADA. After stepping away from those roles, she began a new journey to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Following her graduation, she joined our Nurse Residency Program and completed the specialized trach/vent residency, deepening her clinical skills.

Meredith’s commitment to professional growth has expanded her expertise in caring for higher-acuity home care clients. We’re so proud of her perseverance, dedication, and passion for leading with heart to make a lasting impact on our community! ❤️

After nearly three months in rehabilitation following a fall earlier this year, BAYADA client Domingo is finally home—thanks to the dedicated support of our Newton, MA, care team.

Director Matt Guerra, Clinical Manager Allison Penta, Divisional Client Services Manager Alison Drew, and Johnny Carranza went above and beyond to make his homecoming special. From coordinating equipment deliveries and restocking his kitchen to cleaning, rearranging his space, and surprising him with his favorite meal, their efforts ensured a smooth and joyful return.

Additional care from our North Boston team, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and visiting nursing services, is helping Domingo stay safe and supported at home.

We’re so proud of our teams for going the extra mile to welcome Domingo back with compassion and care. ❤️
