Annual economic impact data released by the Georgia Hospital Association highlights the $370,561,190 that Union General Hospital generates for the state economy. GHA’s data also reveals that the hospital contributes $278,499,785 to Union County. This update is based on 2023 data and uses an independent third-party’s modeling.

Union General Hospital’s economic reach extends beyond healthcare, sustaining jobs in a range of industries. GHA’s data shows that Union General supports 1912 total jobs across Georgia, including 1387 jobs in Union County, and 788 full- and part-time employees at Union General. Together, these direct and indirect jobs generate $119,664,809 in household earnings across the state.
