First, we want you to know this: you are not alone, and you are not “junk.” You are precious, loved, and wonderfully made by God—and so is your baby. At our ministry, we believe that every life has value and that God meets us with grace and truth, especially in moments that feel overwhelming or frightening.
It’s understandable that you’re scared to tell your family. Many young women in crisis pregnancies feel the same way. Fear doesn’t mean you’ve failed, it means you care deeply and you’re trying to figure out what comes next. Our role as a ministry is to walk beside you, not to judge or condemn you, but to listen, support, and help you find a path forward that brings hope and healing.
Here are a few ways we can help you prepare to talk to your family, grounded in what we believe and how we serve:
1. You don’t have to do this by yourself.
Our center exists to be a safe and caring place where Christ’s love is shown in practical ways. We offer one on one coaching and counseling, especially for young women facing unplanned pregnancies. Sitting down with someone who will truly listen can help you sort through your fears and think clearly about how to share your situation with your parents.
2. We help you speak the truth with courage and grace.
As a ministry, we believe in prayer, truth, and compassion. We can help you think through what you want to say, how to say it, and when might be the best time. Parents’ initial reactions can come from shock or worry, not lack of love. Preparing your words ahead of time can help you approach the conversation calmly and honestly.
3. We remind families that hope is real.
One of our core goals is to be a place “where hope is given, love is shared, and needs are met.” When parents see that there is support available—emotional, practical, and spiritual, it can ease some of their fear. We help families understand that this situation, while unexpected, does not define your future or make you beyond help or forgiveness.
4. We’re here for you and your family, long term.
Our ministry is not just about pregnancy; it’s about strengthening families one step at a time. We offer education, material assistance, life coaching, and community connections. We seek to help not only young moms, but also parents and grandparents who may suddenly find themselves supporting a growing family.
If you’re willing, the next step could be to come talk with us in person. We can pray with you, listen to your story, and help you build the courage to have this conversation with your parents—knowing that God’s grace goes before you.
