We are blessed and excited to share that our clinic has officially cared for over 6,000 individuals on their health journey! 🎉

In (almost) 3 years, our practice has grown more than we could have EVER imagined, and we are incredibly thankful for the support and trust this community continues to give us.

Thank you for choosing our clinic, for telling your friends and family about us, and for allowing us to be part of your healthcare journey. We are truly grateful and look forward to continuing to serve our community for many years to come.

Meet the Team Monday!

✨Meet Your Provider - Lindsey Sheppard, APRN-CNP✨

Lindsey has been in healthcare since the age of 15, when she first started working in the kitchen of an assisted living center. From there, she became a CNA while working her way through nursing school at The University of Oklahoma. After graduation, she went to work at OU Medical Center as an RN, where she found her passion in the ICU caring for open heart recovery patients.

She later attended the University of South Alabama, where she received a dual certification in Acute Care and Family Practice in 2014. She spent several years working in the ER as a provider before transitioning to urgent care when she decided to start a family.

She is a born and bred Okie and has lived in Blanchard for the past 9 years with her wonderful husband and their two beautiful children. She truly loves taking care of her community, and being a healer is something she feels the Lord called her to do. It is part of the fabric of her soul.

She enjoys bringing common sense and comfort to the process of healthcare and getting to know people as she cares for them over time. Her favorite part about Hometown Healthcare is being an owner, because it allows her to do things the right way, with less red tape, and make care more accessible for her patients.

She is thankful every day for the opportunity to serve the community she calls home. ❤️

Our hearts are heavy as we pray for everyone directly affected by the tragic accident that took the lives of two brave firefighters in a neighboring community. We send our deepest condolences. ❤️‍🩹

Even though this tragedy happened in the town over, the loss is felt across all communities. We ask you to join us in lifting up their families, friends, coworkers, and all first responders in prayer during this incredibly difficult time.

Please keep their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers today and in the days to come. 🙏

Meet the team Monday!

❤️ Meet Your Provider – Amber Garrett, APRN ❤️

Amber Garrett has known she wanted to be a nurse since she was just 4 years old, and that passion has guided her entire career in healthcare.

Amber has been a nurse for 22 years and a nurse practitioner for 5 years, bringing experience in dermatology, bariatrics, and more than 10 years in home health and hospice. Her focus has always been compassionate, patient-centered care.

Born and raised in Blanchard, Amber is proud to be a 4th-generation Blanchard resident and a 2000 graduate of Blanchard High School. She loves serving the same community that helped raise her.

Outside of healthcare, Amber is a local business owner who believes strongly in supporting families and strengthening the community. She owns Hilltop Child Development Center, Defaults Diner, Hometown Healthcare, and Garrett’s Corner.

Amber is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have two children: Zach (21) and Belle (16).

Her favorite thing about working at Hometown Healthcare is getting to care for the community she calls home.

Her favorite quote by Maya Angelou perfectly reflects how she approaches patient care:
“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
