😲🤯INFORMATION FOR PREGNANCY AND NEWBORNS! 🫵👇👇👇👇
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on therapeutic technique that focuses on the craniosacral system, which consists of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord, along with the bones of the skull, spine, and pelvis. This therapy is reported to help reduce tension, enhance the body's self-healing capabilities, and improve overall health and function. CST is considered safe for both mothers and babies during and after pregnancy.
CST during pregnancy (prenatal)
During pregnancy, CST is reported to alleviate common discomforts such as back pain, pelvic pain, headaches, and sciatica. It may also promote relaxation by calming the nervous system, which can help reduce stress, anxiety, and improve sleep. Some sources suggest it could help balance hormones and support breastfeeding. Additionally, specific CST techniques may encourage optimal fetal positioning for birth and help prepare the mother's body for labor by balancing pelvic and uterine structures. CST can also be a supportive space for mothers to process emotions and connect with their baby.
CST after pregnancy (postpartum) and for newborns
Postpartum, CST may assist in recovery by releasing tension in the pelvic floor and easing pain often linked to breastfeeding. For newborns, it is suggested to help release tension from a difficult birth and address issues like feeding difficulties, colic, reflux, sleep problems, and musculoskeletal concerns. CST sessions can also foster bonding between parents and babies and offer emotional support for mothers.
