🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week 🩺🐾

This week is for the heroes behind every patient — the veterinary technicians.

The ones who comfort your pet when you can’t be there.
We’re the hands holding them steady during blood draws, the ones monitoring anesthesia with our hearts pounding in sync with their heartbeat, and the ones covered in fur, fluids, and love — all in the same day.

We clean up the messes, trim the nails, place catheters, take x-rays, run lab work, assist in surgery, manage anesthesia, and somehow still find time to give belly rubs and kisses. We’re the voice for the voiceless and the shoulder for the worried.

Take the time to say thank you to your vet techs this week! It means more than you can imagine! ❤️

*Major Update*
If you have been in the office this week, you may or may not have noticed morale was all over the place for a few days.
Major was very sick on Monday and needed to have an emergency surgery for intestinal issues, which we did here in office, and there was a lot of uncertainty surrounding a positive outcome. By the end of the evening he wasn't recovering liked we hoped and emotions were high to say the least.
Tuesday, Major seemed to be quickly declining. He wouldn't eat, drink, get up, or even lift his head. It was quietly decided that it may be the end of an era, plans were made, friends and family were called in, goodbyes were said, hearts were breaking, and we had to handle this all with as much grace as we could muster in front of clients. We tried our best, but there were a few breaks along the way, and we apologize to those who had to bear witness.
Tuesday afternoon around 3 pm, Major suddenly decided he was ready.
For food.
And so, we began the uphill climb with him.
Wednesday, we started to see the old Major peak through. He got his some of his appetite back...and gas🤢. Sorry about that, but it's a good sign we promise!
It's now Thursday, and he is on the up and up. It's a slow process, but progress is progress. We are still asking and appreciating continued thoughts, prayers, good vibes, whatever have you, for his recovery...and ours.😂 Feel free to ask any questions or leave any encouraging words in the comments below!
