After over six years of growing my business, I am sad to say Salsa Bliss is closing down. This will be the final week of salsa production.
While it is difficult to close the business down at this point, I do feel like Salsa Bliss was a success. I have so much gratitude for the support my customers have given me through the years! From our humble beginnings selling salsa off the porch, to the Blissfield Marketplace years, farmers markets, and stocking the grocery store coolers for you all, it has been a blast. One of the best parts of this experience was doing demos or farmers markets and seeing the reactions of people trying our flavors for the first time. Sharing these tastes with you all has been such a fun journey.
Since my family moved to Blissfield almost 10 years ago, I’ve seen so much growth in the community. The new crop of businesses that have started here in town really make this place more vibrant, fun and special. Businesses like Nourish, Starling Lounge, Lena's, Emmy’s, Elevated Shortbreads, Shellie’s, Royal Yoga, and so many others are working hard for you! I am proud to have been part of this exciting growth spurt in our village. Please do everything you can to support our local businesses.
I would like to send out a special thank you to the Weeber family for allowing me to work out of the Hathaway House kitchen, Aimee for making the Main Street Stable my first paying customer, and Andy at Borchardt Brothers for being my first grocery store and consistent biggest seller. A huge thank you goes to Ron Sulier, who has been my rock-solid help in the kitchen. Is anyone more dependable than Ron? I don’t think so.
Most of all, I would like to thank my family. I never would have been able to start any kind of business without their support. Running a business takes so much time and resources, sleepless nights, money and tears. My family supported me through it all, and I can't thank them enough.
Thank you all for the support, and may you learn to make great salsa in your own kitchen!
