Dementia ᩣシ

It’s true that it is possible to have more than one type of dementia. At least 1 in 10 people with dementia is diagnosed as having mixed dementia.

‘Mixed dementia’ is a condition in which a person has more than one type of dementia. Most diagnoses of mixed dementia tend to be a combination of Alzheimer's disease with vascular dementia. However, less commonly it can also involve other types of dementia.

Knowing which type of dementia someone has can help us to provide the best support for that person.

A person who is time-shifted may seem to be experiencing a different reality to you. Try to remember that what they perceive is as real to them as your reality is to you.

The person may not understand what more recent technology is or does. They may not recognise friends and family as they look now, expecting them to be much younger.
