⏰ Daylight Saving Time Ends This Sunday, November 2!
Setting the clocks back an hour might not seem like a big deal, but it can disrupt bedtime routines — especially for toddlers and young children. The good news: with a little preparation, you can make the transition smooth.
🕰 1. Adjust bedtime gradually
▪️Start 3–4 days before the change.
▪️Move bedtime and wake-up time 10–15 minutes later each day.
By Sunday, your child’s internal clock will already be closer to the new schedule.
🌞 2. Get morning sunlight
▪️Once the time changes, spend time outside in the morning light to help reset their body clock.
▪️Even 15–20 minutes during breakfast or on the way to school can help regulate melatonin.
🌙 3. Dim lights in the evening
▪️As it gets dark earlier, use soft, warm lighting indoors.
▪️Avoid screens (TV, tablets, phones) for 30–60 minutes before bed, since blue light delays sleepiness.
