Sitting in the CVS parking lot after 100 + hours in the hospital and on no sleep with my little girl ( one of our four beauitiful daughters) … and I wanted to share this with every mom, dad, caregiver, grandparent, and person who loves a child.
This week, I wasn’t the doctor.
I was the one waiting.
The one praying.
The one pretending to be strong so she could rest.
The one running on no sleep, worry, adrenaline, and love.
And it reminded me , deeply , very deeply that strength doesn’t always feel like strength.
Sometimes it feels like fear.
Sometimes it feels like exhaustion.
Sometimes it feels like doing the next right thing simply because you don’t have another choice.
And as we move into the holiday season, I want to gently remind you of this too:
Life doesn’t stop happening……
Kids still get sick.
Families still face challenges.
Hearts still carry heavy things.
So please, take a moment to breathe.
Pick your battles.
Don’t sweat the small stuff right now.
The holidays are about love, togetherness, connection, and peace… everything else is just bonus.
Whether your home is loud or quiet, messy or magical, whether you’re celebrating in pajamas or in chaos — what matters is the love inside those walls.
To every caregiver doing their best in this season of joy and overwhelm:
I see you. I honor you. You’re not alone. 🤍✨
And always remember this please ♥️:
Your family at Serenity Pediatrics is here for you — in every season of joy, worry, exhaustion, healing, and hope.
We promise to walk alongside you, to guide you, and to care for your children and your family with all the heart we have.
You never have to do any of this alone.
- Love, Dr. Alsahlani ♥️
