One thing we know for sure is that music fills our halls often! Our residents love to sing, play, and share their talents with each other. It’s not unusual to hear someone softly playing the piano, or to see Mr. Gary strumming his guitar with a smile.

Music is scientifically shown to support mental health and emotional well-being, and sound healing has long been a meaningful part of healthcare. What we love most is how naturally music has woven itself into everyday life here at our home — bringing comfort, connection, and joy to all 🎶❤️

This morning when I walked in, it sounded like pure joy… I rounded the corner and found one of our residents playing his guitar and singing while visiting another resident. A few others gathered around the door, our aides chimed in singing along, and the whole moment was so natural and beautiful it gave you goosebumps and made your heart swell. That’s what it’s all about here at PV. 💛🎶

We also want to say a big thank you to all the families who joined us today for our Thanksgiving meal! We didn’t get to snap many photos — we were too busy laughing, visiting, and sharing stories — but your presence filled our home with so much warmth.

We are truly blessed by our residents and their families.
Our hearts are full of Thanksgiving this year. 🧡🦃🏡

Today we had the honor of recognizing our veterans that call Prairie View home. It is one of our greatest privileges to care for the men and women who have served our country with courage and selflessness.

Thank you for your service, your sacrifices, your strength, and the humility that defines what true heroism looks like. We are honored not just to recognize you today, but to serve you every single day. You’ve carried our nation’s stories, and we are beyond grateful to help you in this season of life.

A huge thank you to Elara Caring, Legacy Hospice, Tim from the VA, and We Honor Veterans for helping us host such a beautiful and meaningful pinning ceremony. We ended the day with fellowship, gratitude, and a delicious cake to celebrate our heroes! 🇺🇸
