On December 22nd, our tenants and their families gathered to enjoy a wonderful Christmas supper with delicious food, heartwarming laughter, and holiday spirit. Mulberry tenants are loved and cherished!

On December 22nd, Bloomfield Care Center hosted our annual Christmas Party for residents and their families. The house was packed while Santa Claus and his elves distributed gifts to everyone! Cookies and hot cocoa were served while faithful community volunteers including the Calico Kids 4H club and Joanna M. and her service dogs were there to pitch-in! A good time was certainly had by all.

Residents at the Bloomfield Care Center got to try something new on Wednesday, December 10th - a "Paint & Sip" party! Participants munched on cookies and sipped various hot beverages while learning to paint cozy winter scenes with watercolor medium. Instruction was by Artist & Activity Coordinator, Terri H.

The Christmas season is in full-swing at Bloomfield Care Center! The trees are trimmed and our home looks so festive with decorations to greet the public. A big "Thank You" to the Calico Kids 4H club for decorating our exterior, and to the Davis County H.S. Choir for entertaining us this week!

Congratulations to Bloomfield Care Center for achieving a 5-star Overall and Quality Measures rating by CMS for November! Holding a 5-star rating means they are in the top 10% of nursing facilities nationwide and reflects the quality of care provided by their team compared to other facilities.

Tenants at Mulberry Place Assisted Living were serenaded by local musician David Simmons on November 4th. David encourages audience participation and sometimes shares his microphone! Thank you for entertaining us, David!

The Bloomfield Care Center's Veterans Day ceremony took place at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month. Resident Veterans were honored with a patriotic musical performance by members of the Davis County High School Band directed by Jeff C. Many of the students thanked the Veterans for their service. Honorees were seated at a special table and given gifts by Laura B. from Davis County Veterans Affairs. The "Missing Man" table is also a tradition here at the care center.

A new and fun activity at Bloomfield Care Center is "Cooking With Janelle." Our administrator has a monthly "Cooking Show" which really spices up our activities! This month's recipe was fried donuts with cinnamon and sugar. Residents gobbled them up and washed them down with our own hot mulled apple cider! Delicious!
