The week of May 10th through the 16th was National Skilled Nursing Center Week at Bloomfield Care Center. The theme was "Moments In Bloom" this year and some of our activities included: planting flowers, pet visits, a photo booth, a pie and ice cream social, banana split bar, cake contest, pizza, bratwurst cookout, and a sing-along.

Mothers, Aunts and Sisters were celebrated at Bloomfield Care Center on Thursday, the 7th of May with a traditional tea party. Entertainment was provided by vocalist, Tamara Belland. Tamara performed sentimental favorites with plenty of familiar songs to sing-along to. A variety of teas were offered along with decadent Petit Fours. Many of the participants donned their favorite fascinators which were a result of our recent Kentucky Derby celebration. You might notice the elegant China cups and saucers which were all donated. A good time was certainly had on this lovely afternoon!

It's nice to be appreciated! Bloomfield Care Center employees were treated to a delicious BBQ picnic lunch on Friday, April 24th for "Employee Appreciation Day." Smoked burgers and hotdogs, with several sides and drinks were provided. Door prizes were also awarded!

Residents at Bloomfield Care Center offer great ideas when it comes to planning our monthly activities calendar. Pie socials are a hit, so why not have a cheesecake social! We did just that on Thursday, the 23rd of April. Decadent slices of gourmet cheesecake along with beverages were offered as one of our afternoon activities. Next month, we will observe "National Apple Pie Day" on May 13th. So much fun! 🥧🍎🍏😋

Bloomfield Care Center extends our appreciation to all who volunteer! A Volunteer Appreciation reception was held on Monday, April 20th with delicious pastries, refreshments, and fellowship. On Wednesday, March 24th, residents at Bloomfield Care Center participated in a "Mocktails & Memories" activity. They described the non-alcoholic beverage as "crisp, sparkling, and refreshing" as they reminisced and shared memories of the past. Later, in the afternoon, we were treated to a piano recital by the students of Ms. Melanie Schock. Weston, Garret and Kyra performed a dozen perfectly executed numbers to a large audience of very pleased spectators.

St. Patrick's Day was observed at Bloomfield Care Center with musical entertainment courtesy of a true Leprechaun! That's no Blarney! Doug Mottet crooned some classis country hits while residents and tenants sipped decadent "shamrock shakes" on March 17th. "Cheers" to Doug for a grand "craic" of a time ☘️☘️

For this month's "Cooking With Janelle" activity, Administrator, Janelle, demonstrated how to fry up some "Pizza Bombs." This consists of biscuit dough filled with pepperoni and mozzarella cheese and is fried until golden brown and then served with marinara dipping sauce. Residents at Bloomfield Care Center enjoyed the savory dish as an afternoon snack. They were the "Bomb-Diggity!"

Residents at Bloomfield Care Center were treated to a delicious variety of pies created by staff members, Linda G. and Terri H. as well as family member, Becky H.
