Today, we celebrate with the National Guard and the families who support them. In hospice, we frequently care for veterans and service members who have given so much. It is our privilege to honor their service by ensuring comfort, dignity, and support at the end of life.

Today, our Hospice of New Jersey team gathered for a very special memorial service honoring our volunteer coordinator, Terry, who passed away suddenly last week. What was originally planned to be her volunteer holiday party became a beautiful time of remembrance for someone who poured so much love into her work and into all of us.

Terry had prepared two handmade quilts as surprises for today. One was for our director, Trish’s father, who served in the military, and the other for our nurse case manager, Cesar. These gifts were created with such care and intention, and although Terry was not here to present them herself, we were grateful to share them in her honor. This moment was emotional and incredibly meaningful, a testament to the thoughtfulness she carried into every part of her life.

Please help us recognize Terry’s legacy as well as Trish’s father and Cesar by sharing this post as a moment of remembrance and appreciation.

The Hospice of New Jersey team is deeply saddened to share the passing of our beloved Volunteer Coordinator, Terry, who left us last week. Terry was a cherished member of our hospice family, and her compassion, dedication, and joyful spirit touched everyone she worked with. She will be profoundly missed.

In honor of Terry’s memory, we invite you to consider a donation to an animal shelter, rescue organization, or charity that reflects her love for animals and her generous heart.

For many families, the greatest gift is spending the holidays at home. Hospice care makes that possible by bringing medical support, comfort, and emotional care right to the bedside. The holiday season can be filled with joy, but it can also bring challenges for those caring for a loved one with a life-limiting illness. Hospice of New Jersey is here to provide compassionate support, helping you navigate this time with comfort and care.

We do not want unmanageable symptoms or medical crises to disrupt precious moments with family and friends. Our personalized care helps ensure your loved one can spend the holidays in comfort, surrounded by those who matter most, whether at home, in a loved one’s home, or in a skilled nursing or assisted living community that feels like home.

This holiday season, let us help bring peace of mind and meaningful moments to your family. Just call us. Anytime.
