Great to receive this type of note from one of our members. Way to go Morgan Carr

Dear Mary & Mark,
I wanted to share with you a very positive experience with you both after calling the CAFP last week to obtain help with my CME reporting requirements.
I left patience care a number of years ago and transitioned over to managed care and currently work as a Chief Medical Officer of a pharmaceutical company so I deal with CEO's, CMO's, DOI's etc. office's on a daily basis and interact with their staffs regularly.
When I called your offices I felt I had just been connected to the executive suite at Goldman Sachs, a young lady; Morgan Carr answered, she was so professional, knowledgeable and caring that I felt the need to offer my congratulations to you both on hiring such a talented individual to work at CAFP.
She procceded to make several called to AAFP to clarify how to satisfy my CME deficit and then called / emailed me back several times to be sure I was clear on what I needed to do.
This young lady is very well trained, talented and cares so nice it is to encounter a well trained individual who is qualified to do the job she was hired for especially these days.
In my opinion Morgan deserves to be placed on a " fast track" to a higher leadership position within your organization. She is a credit to everyone there as you do the hard work of supporting the Family Physicians of Connecticut.
I hope my letter is helpful in bringing the performance of this incredible young lady to your attention.
Kindest regards

This month, CAFP representatives attended the Ten State Conference in Massachusetts, where we met a Family Medicine Doctor who graduated from Yale. Upon our return, we received a nice note.

Remember, you never know when you will make an impact on future generations of doctors. Providing mentoring, support, and experiences for our medical students is a passion for the Connecticut Academy. It is nice to see the success of our former student members! Thank you, Dr. Antell, for your kind note and for all you do for Family Medicine!

Important Update: Connecticut Guidance Regarding Federal Childhood Immunization Schedule Changes

Connecticut Immunization Policy and Standard of Care
Connecticut’s childhood immunization schedule and school immunization requirements have not changed.

Under Connecticut law (CGS § 19a-7f), the Commissioner of Public Health determines the immunization standard of care based on evidence-based recommendations from CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).

In the absence of new scientific evidence supporting a change,
Connecticut will continue to follow the previously approved, evidence-based immunization schedule. This version of the schedule has been endorsed by the AAP and AAFP and should continue to be followed by providers.
