Wellness Wednesday
The question I have been hearing a lot lately has been how often should I get a massage. So lets dive into that. First and foremost there is no straight forward answer. We are each built differently. Because of that what works for one person may not work for the next.
As a general rule of thumb, 4-6 weeks is a good place to start. On an average person, anything I work on starts to break down at 6-8 weeks. However some will make it 6 months to a year before they start hurting again. Where others due to medical issues visit me every two weeks. The best way to determine this is to listen to your body.
When we start to feel pain many times we push forward. It will let up in a minute. Or the I just need to finish this project. If our bodies hurt there is usually a reason. Slow down, evaluate, and hydrate. Many times just doing those things will help us to maintain longer.
