Today on the workbench, we’re focusing on a common yet critical repair in the medical equipment refurbishing industry: printer repairs for devices such as EKG machines, fetal monitors, ultrasound systems, and more.

Integrated printers are important for generating vital reports that provide key data for patient care and treatment. Due to frequent use in clinical settings, these printers often face issues like:

🖨️ Faint or unreadable prints caused by worn thermal printheads
📜 Paper jams resulting from misaligned rolls or worn rollers

Routine maintenance, such as regular cleaning and using approved thermal paper, helps prevent downtime and provides reliable diagnostic records.

Today on the workbench, we’re highlighting one of the most common and essential repairs across all types of medical equipment: display and/or screen replacements.
From patient monitors to endoscopy towers, displays are the primary interface between healthcare professionals and the technology they rely on. Over time, these screens can suffer from:

💡 Backlight failures or dimming
🖐️ Touchscreen unresponsiveness
🔳 Cracks, discoloration, or fading from long-term use
Replacing or refurbishing displays is not just a cosmetic fix, it’s about ensuring accuracy, visibility, and safety. Clear, responsive screens allow clinicians to interpret data correctly and act quickly.

Whether it’s a minor calibration or a full screen replacement, maintaining the display’s integrity is key to extending the life and reliability of medical devices across the board.
