Mary Kenner was a pioneering inventor who held five patents, the most of any African America woman to date with many focused on improving everyday products for women. One of her most influential inventions was an early sanitary belt designed to securely hold menstrual pads in place, helping make menstrual hygiene more practical long before modern products existed.
