It’s truth o'clock on a myth-busting Monday! Today, we’re going to bust a common misconception around sprains:

❌ Sprains are all minor injuries.
✅ While some sprains are mild and heal with rest, others involve complete tears. Grade III (severe) sprains are just as limiting as fractures, and if left untreated, they can lead to chronic pain and other complications.

Think you might have a severe sprain? Come see one of our experts here at AONE right away. Call (860) 728-6740 for an appointment or visit one of our urgent care facilities.

Thank you, Jay, for sharing your experience. We’re so glad you felt supported and well cared for throughout the process! It’s wonderful to hear your recovery is going smoothly. Your satisfaction, comfort, and overall well-being matter to us!

“While out of the country, I developed hip pain. Although not yet a patient from their website, I asked for an appointment. It was arranged, and within minutes of my appointment, I already had an X-ray taken and was conferring with Brian Fry about options.

I chose surgery, and a month later, I had a total hip replacement and began recovery. I was frequently contacted by their office to check on my progress, and they arranged for all prescriptions for post-surgery recovery. Two weeks after surgery by Dr. Grosso, I was seen by Brian again to remove the bandages and check on my recovery, which I think is going quite well. I have a follow-up with Dr. Grosso a month after surgery. The staff has been pleasant and efficient. Couldn't be more pleased with the office. “- Jay P. https://bit.ly/3xMfm1Z

Swelling, tenderness, and a nagging ache in your leg that gets worse when you move or put weight on it? Those could point to a hairline fracture, also known as a stress fracture.

Hairline fractures are sneaky. They tend to develop slowly and often have subtle symptoms, which can cause them to be easily mistaken for fatigue or muscle strain. But don’t be fooled—if left untreated, these tiny cracks can escalate into a serious injury.

Here at Advanced Orthopedics New England, we have physicians on our team who specialize in fracture care. They know exactly what to look for and provide effective treatment to ensure proper healing.
