February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, a time to focus on healthy habits that protect kids’ smiles.

Fluoride rinses can help prevent cavities, but their sweet taste can make them appealing to children. Some kids may try to drink them straight from the bottle, especially when products are sold without dispenser.

Fluoride rinses should always be used with adult supervision and stored out of reach of children.

If a child swallows fluoride rinse or you’re unsure how much was consumed, Poison Help is available 24/7.
