🌸 How can TRE support emotional release after birth?

Becoming a mother is one of the most transformative experiences we can go through — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Birth asks everything of us. The body opens, the hormones surge, and the heart expands in ways we can’t prepare for. But sometimes, after the birth, **our bodies hold onto the intensity of it all.**

You might feel tension in your body that doesn’t seem to go away, or waves of emotion that surface unexpectedly — sadness, anxiety, irritability, or even numbness.

This is where **TRE (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises)** can be such a gentle and powerful ally in postpartum healing.

TRE is a simple series of movements that help activate your body’s **natural tremor response** — a gentle shaking mechanism that humans and animals use to release deep muscular tension, stress, and stored trauma.

Birth can bring up deep fears—about pain, control, the unknown, or past experiences. This workshop invites you to acknowledge and explore those fears, rather than suppress them, using tools from Birthing from Within: guided imagery, journaling, creative expression, breath and somatic awareness, and reflective exercises. You’ll uncover unconscious beliefs, name your worries, and practice strategies to face fear with curiosity, presence, and resilience.

Through experiential exercises, small-group sharing, and mindful practices, participants leave with a deeper understanding of their fears, practical coping skills, and a greater sense of confidence and empowerment for the birth journey.
