I couldn't stop the weight around my middle from piling on. And I was sick and tired of feeling bloated and puffy. I was not ready to feel like I was getting old! The most frustrating part was that I didn't understand why this was happening because I thought I was doing all the ‘right things’. It was when I learned to really pay attention to how my body responds to what I put into it, that everyth

ing changed. I lost that extra belly fat and general puffiness. Best of all, I have the energy to work hard all day and still enjoy long walks or fun with the grandkids. I wanted to help others feel good in their skin again and so trained to become a Certified Functional Health Coach. The functional approach to wellness seeks to get to the root cause of symptoms and chronic conditions. Getting your diet and lifestyle in a place where it is working for you rather than causing dysfunction, is a crucial step to thriving and not just surviving. I coach my clients to implement step-by-step changes that gradually add up to a sustainable lifestyle that works for them. My coaching is not about being on a diet; it is about creating a healthy relationship with food and movement that just becomes how you eat, what you do and who you are. The bonus is that most lose weight with this approach. Look, we all know what we are supposed to do to eat well and be healthy. But doing that is hard! Especially in our culture. I specialize in helping people make changes to diet and lifestyle when change is hard. I have the information from the latest research on how to lose weight in a way that is satiating and not painful and will provide that, as needed. My clients love this approach because they never have to feel physically hungry and know they are obtaining the nutrition their body is craving. But we don’t eat just to fulfill our physical hunger and nutritional needs, do we? I also have specialized training as a Professional Food Addiction Coach to help clients work on the mental weight they might be carrying - that emotional eating, insane cravings and mindless eating. The life coaching I offer is a big part of achieving sustainable weight loss. I am also a 'foodie' and love to cook so I can help with recipes and meal planning. I have found that many foods don't love me, however. I have extensive knowledge about food sensitivities and how those can affect a person's ability to lose weight and feel good. I absolutely love seeing my clients transform their relationship with food and thrive!

A Health Coach supports changes you desire to make to enhance wellness.

I am happy to arrange a FREE phone or on-line video consultation of about 30 minutes at a mutually convenient time. The purpose is to explore what is possible together. We will talk about what interests you about working with me. I'll also answer your quesitons about me and the process of health coaching. There is no pressure to do anything further if the chemistry does not feel right for you. :)

I help people believe in their unlimited potential to change their habits and to thrive. A Health Coach supports those who desire to change their diet and/or lifestyle in order to enhance their wellness.

Some times change can be hard. I help people accomplish the changes they want to make at their own pace and in a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental coaching environment. I know firsthand the huge improvement that changes to diet and lifestyle can make. I was able to reverse my sugar cravings plus symptoms of asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic constipation, pre-diabetes and strong histamine reactions such as sneezing, watery eyes and rashes through changes to my diet. It feels so good to feel good again! I am also a Cooking Instructor and teach cooking with foods that have the incredible power to nourish you and strengthen your immune system. I love to help others enjoy these foods by creating recipes and teaching cooking classes.

Although I have passed the requirements and am well qualified to coach, I have not yet received the full certification and therefore will be charging much less than the typical fee for health coaching services. I am currently certifying as an ADAPT- Functional Health Coach (A-CFHC) an intensive year long program accredited by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching.
