Meet Sam …

I know this bio will evolve, because I do. That’s the reality of dedicating your life to studying human complexity. I used to call myself “complicated.” Now I think that word is just shorthand for people who refuse to flatten themselves into something easier to explain.
I was raised Roman Catholic & took spirituality far more seriously than most kids around me. By adulthood, I had intellectually abandoned religion almost entirely. Ironically, I then pursued Astrophysics — a field devoted to studying the mechanics of the cosmos while quietly obsessing over questions science alone couldn’t answer.
Still, astrology remained secondary while I immersed myself in trauma-informed counseling modalities & almost by accident, built a wildly successful dog business. It was chaotic, demanding, unconventional, & completely aligned with my Aries Sun & Uranian career signature.
Once I was established, I finally had the space to return to astrology, & this ultimately restored my relationship with God. It gave me a way to merge the mystical with the magical. To engage intuition without abandoning discernment. The birth chart became less of a fortune-telling device & more of a cheat sheet for the weight of meaning, fate, consciousness, suffering, archetypes, patterns.
What began as personal study evolved into a professional practice & years of mentorship, certification, & conferences with a wide range of schools & scholars but most intensively, Mark Jones Astrology, The Institute of Visionair Astrology, & the Jeffrey Wolf Green School of Evolutionary Astrology. The common thread that weaves my educational + professional tools is my karmic/evolutionary philosophy: the belief that the soul unconsciously inherits across generations — perhaps lifetimes — psychological instincts, desires, fears, biases, & trauma cycles that control us until we consciously break them.
But major life crises have a way of breaking you open. After years of running a mentally & physically draining business from my home, my nervous system was shot. I had spent years giving astrology the leftovers of my energy while simultaneously knowing it was the work most deeply tied to my purpose.
& so, my Ta**us Ascendant moves slow, but I am here—relocating from Chicago to nurture a community in need of the astrological healing + knowledge my Pisces Moon, Mercury, Venus & Saturn has to offer.
I do not see astrology as deterministic, nor will I hand you fixed answers about your destiny. I guide you to embrace your gifts, see your allies, & unlearn what’s blindsided you. I do this not by telling you who you are but by asking who you are, as your chart is a question to be answered, not an answer already declared. I’m not interested in bypassing responsibility with new age spiritual fluff. Energy plays out differently for everyone; your will to do the work is equally important to the unconditional time & energy I am going to give to help you do it.
I do not identify as a psychic, nor is my work a replacement for professional therapy. My readings offer a deeply integrative tool for self-discovery, empowerment, & transformation, while my teachings make the ancient wisdom of astrology accessible — helping carve out one of the first local spaces for its regular, in-person study as a credible discipline.
