❄️ Winter Safety Matters—Especially for Seniors ❄️

Snowy days can be magical, but winter also brings a higher risk of falls for older adults. Icy sidewalks, wet floors, and clutter can quickly turn dangerous—and falls can impact health, confidence, and independence.

Simple steps make a big difference:

✔️ Keep walkways clear and well-lit
✔️ Wear non-skid footwear
✔️ Stay active to maintain strength and balance
✔️ Keep up with vision and health checkups

At Traditions, safety comes first. Our communities help reduce fall risks while supporting independence—so residents can enjoy the season with confidence and peace of mind.

🎨🎶 It’s National Hobby Month! 🎶🎨

This month, we’re celebrating the joy of hobbies—and the connections they create. From art and music to games, gardening, and storytelling, hobbies bring people together across generations. They spark conversation, build friendships, and turn everyday moments into meaningful memories.

At Traditions, socialization is at the heart of what we do. By sharing hobbies old and new, residents, families, and friends create new traditions, laugh together, and learn from one another. Because the best hobbies aren’t just about what we do—they’re about who we do them with. 💙

✨ A New Year. A Renewed . ✨

As we welcome the new year, we recommit to creating a community that feels like home – a place where connection comes first and traditions are meant to grow. For our residents and their families, that means an environment filled with dignity, joy, and belonging, where laughter is encouraged, visits are meaningful, and multiple generations come together.

You can trust that when you’re not here, your loved one is cared for like family. Here’s to a year of shared moments, lasting memories, and traditions that bring us closer. 💙💚

The holidays are a time for family, celebration, and togetherness, but for families with a loved one in memory care, the question often arises: Should we bring them home for the holidays? This decision can be complex and deeply personal, as every individual in memory care has unique needs, preferences, and abilities.

To make the best choice for your loved one, it's important to consider their well-being and routines while also consulting with the memory care director before making a decision. Our Varietas® Memory Care Program is designed for person-centered care, ideal for making these types of decisions.

He’s making a list, checking it twice. Gonna find out who’s naughty or nice! Santa Clause is coming to GENTRY PARK! We had a jolly time during Santa’s visit last week at our community. Thank you to everyone who came for our open house event. Between cookies, appetizers, a cranberry punch, and a delicious bbq dinner, we were all looking like Santa by the end of the night! Also a huge shoutout to the wonderful women of the Music Makers Choir of Monroe County for ending the evening with their beautiful performance! We cannot wait for Santa’s next appearance this Friday!
