Stephanie Elliston with The Steady Elevation, has been a huge asset to MBS in 2025! She has worked hands on with MBS over the last 6 months focusing on leadership and educating all of us on the differences each team member brings in a possitive and fun way. She has helped us understand the importance of company values and how we can all adapt to change more effectively. Today, Stephanie educated us on providing and accepting feedback is a way that will encourage changes in a possitive way.

Staff at our MBS center had a great week making it not only fun for the kids with dedicated crafts and creative themes each day but also by getting into the spirit themselves!!

Monday - dress like a dad
Tuesday - crayon day
Wednesday - beach day
Thursday - comfy clothes day
Friday - rainbow day

An amazing group of parents, advocates, providers, and more were under the same roof. Together we were all learning more and finding ways to increase awareness of the questions that not only they have as they navigate the world of special needs but most likely the person next to each of us has as well!

Genevieve Cornish spearheaded this event,“Empowering Special Needs Families” which provided everyone with resources to add to their army of supports! Discussions on the most up to date disability updates, insights regarding schools, transitions to adulthood, guardianship and how Cadre can provide families with connections, answers, or maybe just a place to drop a story to see how others can relate.

Such a great event and hopefully more events like this will come because it wasn’t long enough!! 😀

Advocating for our clients, families and our staff have been top priority over the last 2 months!!! Paige and Camille had the honor of joining Jon at the capital last week with the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce and to have the opportunity for some important 1:1 discussions with our representatives.

It was a powerful day of advocacy, insight, and collaboration at the Chamber Day at the Capitol event last Friday. Highlights included:

🤝 Connecting with our House Representatives — Rep. Jon Koznick, Rep. John Huot, and Rep. Bianca Virnig — to discuss key issues impacting our business community.

👋 We also caught up with Katie Whelan after the morning presentation.

🙌 A big thank you to Speaker Lisa Demuth for addressing the group of State Chambers, alongside MN Chamber President Doug Loon.

💬 Conversations around the state budget continued with Reps. Zach Stephenson and Paul Torkelson.

Shout out as well to Paige and Camille with Minnesota Behavioral Specialists, who were onsite to advocate for better monitoring of autism centers.
