🌿 Amalaki ~~Nature’s Vitamin C Powerhouse

As the cozy season sets in, it’s the perfect time to strengthen both your skin and immune system from the inside out. 🍃

One of my favorite natural sources of Vitamin C is Amalaki (also called Amla or Indian Gooseberry) > a powerful adaptogenic fruit used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine.

✨ Why I love Amalaki:
• Promotes radiant skin and collagen production naturally
• Strengthens immune balance and cellular health
• Supports digestion, detoxification, and overall energy
• Combines the wisdom of ancient botanicals with modern science >including ginger, haritaki, schisandra, and jujube

☕️💧 It comes in a delicious powder that tastes amazing either warm like a soothing tea or cold in a water bottle for a refreshing, on-the-go boost.

You can find the Amalaki powder I personally use and recommend here:

Each bag lasts for a month and your skin and immune system will thank you all winter long.

🌤 Winter Wellness Reminder: Don’t Forget Your Vitamin D! 🌤

As the days get shorter and we spend less time in the sun, our vitamin D levels naturally drop. That change can affect everything from mood and immunity to energy and bone health.

🧠 Low vitamin D is linked to fatigue, low mood, and even increased susceptibility to colds and flu.
💪 Optimal levels support immune balance, hormone health, and inflammation control. These are all important for feeling your best through the winter months.

In my practice, I’ve seen a remarkable difference in lab results when patients use Orthomolecular Vitamin D3 with K2 compared to many over-the-counter brands. The quality, absorption, and consistency truly stand out. This bottle lasts for months, making it a simple and powerful daily habit for your health.

✨ If you’re ready to support your winter wellness, you can order through my professional Fullscript dispensary:
👉 us.fullscript.com/welcome/kerriefnp

Because this is a professional-grade supplement, you will need access through a licensed provider. All I need is your email address sent to my inbox, and I can grant access for you to order.

Stay consistent, stay healthy, and keep your vitamin D levels and your vitality strong all winter long.

Does your B Vitamin have Cyanocobalamin for B12 or folic acid instead of methyl folate?

*Understanding the Connection Between B Vitamins and MTHFR*

Are you familiar with the crucial role that B vitamins play in our overall health and wellbeing? B vitamins are essential for energy production, nerve function, and heart health, among other things. But did you know that some people may have a harder time utilizing these vital nutrients due to a genetic variation called MTHFR?

*What is MTHFR?*

MTHFR (methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase) is an enzyme that plays a critical role in the body's ability to process and utilize folate (Vitamin B9). It's responsible for converting folate into its active form, which is necessary for various bodily functions, such as:

- Energy production
- Nerve function
- Red blood cell formation
- DNA synthesis and repair

*The Connection Between MTHFR and B Vitamins*

Individuals with an MTHFR genetic mutation may have difficulty converting B vitamins, particularly folate, into their active forms. This can lead to deficiencies in:

- Folate (Vitamin B9)
- Vitamin B12
- Vitamin B6
- Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

These deficiencies can result in a range of health issues, including:

💤sleep disturbances
✔️HoRmOnE imbalances
👉🏼Fatigue
- 🧠 Brain fog
-🤯Mood disorders
- ❤️Cardiovascular disease

*What Can You Do?*

If you have an MTHFR genetic mutation, it's essential to work with a healthcare professional to develop a personalized plan to address any potential deficiencies. This may include:

- Taking activated B vitamins (e.g., methylfolate, methylcobalamin)-- YOU DONT FIND THESE FORMS AT THE LOCAL PHARMACY OR GROCERY STORE--
The mother Ori of the time you're gonna find something such as
B12 as Cyanocobalamin" --Bad--bad--bad

- Avoiding synthetic folic acid
- Incorporating MTHFR-friendly foods into your diet (e.g., leafy greens, legumes, whole grains)

Remember, understanding the connection between B vitamins and MTHFR is crucial for maintaining optimal health and wellbeing.

My Story

Hi there! I would like to introduce myself to you.

I am a dual certified as a Functional Medicine and Family Nurse Practitioner. I am also a Presidential Ambassador with Zilis and serve on their medical advisory board. I also hold a Master Certifications in Herbology and as a Health Specialist. I am continuing my education to earn a Doctorate in Naturopathy to ensure that I can be of service to you to my best ability.

I started my love for the medical field while attending college at IUPUI working on a degree in Criminal Justice. While in school, I worked at Indiana University Hospital as a secretary in the High Risk Maternity Unit where I felt my true calling was to become a nurse. With that desire, after getting my degree in Criminal Justice, I continued on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from IU School of Nursing. Upon graduating, I worked as a nurse at Riley Hospital and from there went on to work in Labor & Delivery, High Risk Maternity and the Neonatal ICU. Working with mothers and babies has always been my passion and it was here that I also began to discover and cultivate my love for natural medicine.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to further serve others and advance my education by pursuing and receiving my Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Ball State University. Equipped with the knowledge of various medications and how they should be applied, I wanted to compliment that approach with my growing love of natural medicine and my innate devotion for problem solving to discover the root causes of illness and apply the most effective method(s) of treatment in order to ensure the best outcome for each individual. With that goal in mind, I went on to attain a certification in Functional Medicine. I firmly believe that while modern medicine has its place so, equally, does natural medicine and its holistic approach and neither should be discounted or inflated with respect to providing the individualized care that each person deserves.
