Zandu Health Initiative

Zandu Health Initiative Zandu Health Initiative (ZHI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminate health disparities through education, research and collaboration.

FROM DREAM TO REALITY

ZHI was founded upon the many similarities in the stories that immigrants and refugees tell about their lives in the United States of America (USA). It is striking that such a diverse group of individuals - coming from differing countries and cultures and for different reasons - identify with the same needs and challenges. We discovered a sense of the richness of their cultures and the diversity of their experiences. As a result, ZHI was established in order to provide fundamental services and resources through which individuals, families, and communities can remain optimistic, build trust in health, education, technology and social service systems to curb the underlying aforementioned socio-economic realities few immigrants and refugees regret their decision to come to the USA. ZHI's overarching goal is to provide services and resources to improve quality of care, quality of jobs, and quality of life within and across settings. The history we share gives us hope. The future we share also gives us hope. Deeply rooted within is a unique sense of purpose, the conviction not only for individual success, but also for leadership that can change the world.

You can’t reach your full potential until you learn to live your life in the present.

You are not a victim of circumstance. No one can force you to make decisions and take actions that run contrary to your values and aspirations.

When it’s time to take action, remember that it’s always better to be at the bottom of the ladder you want to climb than at the top of one you don’t.

A great day begins with a great mindset. Remind yourself every morning when you wake up that each day is a gift and you’re bound to make the most of the blessing you’ve been given. The moment you start acting like life is a blessing is the moment it will start acting like one.

Great success is often preceded by failure
You will never experience true success until you embrace failure. Your mistakes pave the way for you to succeed by revealing when you’re on the wrong path. The biggest breakthroughs typically come when you’re feeling the most frustrated and the most stuck. It’s this frustration that forces you to think differently, to look outside the box and see the solution that you’ve been missing. Success takes patience and the ability to maintain a good attitude even while suffering for what you believe in.
