When we started Fund-a-Thon this year, we set our most ambitious goal to date: raise $50K to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Hoosier Abortion Fund and to maximize the matching grant from .

From 2022 to 2025, the average HAF pledge skyrocketed from about $250 to over $500 — for a few different reasons:

🟣 People have been forced to travel longer and farther to get care, paying for transportation, food, and child care.
🟣 Because it’s harder to schedule an appointment so far away, and clinics in other states are overwhelmed with people traveling there for abortions, patients are forced to wait longer in their pregnancy to get care — driving up the cost.
🟣 In 2024, two of the largest national abortion funders cut their budgets substantially, leaving smaller abortion funds like HAF to fill in the gaps.

Indiana, like many midwestern states, has been slowly chipping away at abortion access for over 30 years, culminating in the current abortion ban that has the narrowest of exceptions. In fact, Indiana was the first state to introduce a new abortion ban after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, which went into full effect in August 2023.

Despite ranking among states like Texas and Alabama as one of the most restrictive states for abortion, Indiana has been largely ignored in national conversation about abortion access. The reality is that almost all people in Indiana who need abortion care are forced to travel to neighboring states with friendlier laws, like Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.

Although this is a tough time for our organization, we’re committed to ensuring Indiana’s first and only abortion fund will stay open — and we need YOUR help. We need this powerful community of supporters to show up for our 2025 Fund-a-Thon for the Hoosier Abortion Fund!

The reality of abortion access in Indiana right now is grim under a law that bans abortion care with only the narrowest of exceptions. After the Supreme Court overturned Roe in 2022, our community of supporters and funders showed up like never before, donating in unprecedented numbers! With this outpouring of support, we were able to pledge $715,000 in funding to more than 3,000 clients in our 2022-2023 fiscal year.

The abortion access crisis didn’t end then, but funding has slowed significantly. From fiscal year 2022-23 to fiscal year 2023-24, our annual pledges dropped from $715,000 to nearly $375,000. Although we're still providing significant levels of funding post-Dobbs, our clients’ needs are also increasing and we're not able to fund every request we receive.

This is why we have our highest Fund-a-Thon goal ever this year! We need your help to raise $50,000 for the Hoosier Abortion Fund. This will help keep us going through this challenging moment, and continue showing up for our neighbors across Indiana. In 2015, All-Options started the Hoosier Abortion Fund (HAF), Indiana’s first and only statewide abortion fund, with a budget of just $15,000. In our first year, we funded 107 clients. Since then, we’ve provided over $1.3 million in abortion funding to more than 7,300 people from Indiana!

Rain or shine - we'll be here for Free Day on Wednesday, April 2!

Join us on Wednesday, April 2 for a Free Day at All-Options Pregnancy Resource Center. We have donated a large amount of diapers and supplies to Tandem as part of rehoming the Hoosier Diaper Program and Period Equity Program. But we have many items still available, like baby and toddler clothes, brand new potty training seats, other household items, and a drawing for potty training bundle, including a brand new toddler potty chair!

Stop by at 1014 S Walnut Street in Bloomington, from 3pm to 6pm, grab a slice of pizza, meet some of the Tandem team, and celebrate 10 years of the Hoosier Diaper Program!
