✨Our It Takes a Village event is just 3 weeks away! ✨

On Sunday, June 14th from 12–4 PM, we’ll be gathering at Bloomington Birth & Bodywork for an afternoon of community, connection, and support as we prepare to welcome our baby this fall 💛🍂

This event is part family fundraiser, part small business open house, and fully rooted in the idea that none of us are meant to do life — or parenthood — alone.

We’ll have:
🌿 Chair massage
🖤 Flash tattoos with Sage
🎟️ A raffle with some really fun prizes
👶 Community + connection
✨ And lots of love

You can purchase raffle tickets at the event OR online via Venmo if you can’t attend but still want to support us as we prepare for this next chapter.

Two winners will be drawn at 4:00 PM the day of the event. The first name drawn gets to choose their prize, and the second winner receives the remaining prize.

Okay but WHY does fresh wood flooring make an entire space feel like a new chapter? 😭✨

Spent the weekend putting in new floors at the studio and I am genuinely so excited about how warm, grounded, and welcoming the space feels already. There’s still plenty to do, but it’s starting to come together in a way that feels really good.

This little business has grown and evolved alongside me for years, and getting to slowly shape the space into something more intentional feels really special. I can’t wait for clients to see it in person (and to stop worrying about the old gross floors every five seconds 😂).

Big thanks to everyone who continues to support Bloomington Birth & Bodywork through all the messy, beautiful growth seasons. 💛

Now excuse me while I stare lovingly at flooring like a complete weirdo.

I completely dropped the ball on posting for Mother’s Day this year.
Which honestly feels pretty fitting for this season of life.
I’m pregnant, moving, working, parenting, planning, forgetting things, crying about random things, and trying very hard to hold all the pieces together at once. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, Mother’s Day came and went.

But maybe that’s motherhood too.

This year feels especially meaningful to me as I prepare to welcome a new baby while continuing to grow alongside Veda. I’ve been thinking a lot about how motherhood can hold so many things at once: joy, exhaustion, grief, healing, anxiety, hope, love, resentment, tenderness, overwhelm, gratitude… sometimes all before lunch.

And I also know Mother’s Day can feel complicated.
For people longing to become parents.
For people grieving mothers or children.
For people navigating estrangement, loss, infertility, pregnancy after loss, complicated relationships, solo parenting, co-parenting stress, burnout, or simply trying to survive this stage of life.

So this is just a gentle belated acknowledgment for all of it.

To the moms, stepmoms, grandmas, bonus moms, grieving moms, trying-to-be moms, exhausted moms, and people mothering others in quiet unseen ways: I see you. I hope you felt cared for in some small way this week.

And if you didn’t — this is your reminder that you still deserve care too. 🤍
